Divorce Services for Individuals and Couples

Let us partner with you during your divorce so you experience less stress, more clarity, and more knowledge to make decisions.

Divorce Financial Planning and Assessment

If you are getting divorced and don’t understand the details of finance or feel confused and overwhelmed by a process you don’t understand, we can help.

As a CDFA® we help our clients with all the financial issues surrounding divorce. This includes:

  • Understanding Cash Flow and future needs
  • Identifying Personal vs. marital property
  • Valuing and dividing property
  • Retirement assets and pensions
  • Splitting the house
  • Tax problems and solutions
  • Spousal and child support
  • Tax law and financial issues affecting divorce

Divorce Team Member/Financial Advocate

If you are working with an attorney or a mediator, we will be your financial advocate and review all financial information and help educate you so you can make better settlement decisions. We will be a key part of your divorce team. Remember that the attorney and mediator are not financial experts and may not understand more complicated financial situations as well as opportunities and alternatives available to you.

Post-Divorce Transition Assistance

Your divorce is final but there are still many things to do. Your accounts need to be split, bank accounts opened, QDROS’s filed and processed, beneficiaries adjusted and wills or trusts modified. It can be overwhelming! We will work with you as long as necessary to ensure ALL the terms of your settlement agreement are complete.

Once you are ready to move forward in your future, Julie and her team from Aspire Planning Group are well equipped to help you plan for the future. Julie is a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional and will guide you as you move forward to Live Fully and Plan Wisely.  More information about Aspire Planning Group can be found here.
